Developing Your Culture: 02. ADA People First

Language can portray prejudice and discrimination, so it is important to think about how we use certain language, as we’ll cover in this elearning course, ADA People First. We’ll discuss what People First means, why and how it was placed into law, and why it is so important. You’ll learn how the goal is to put the person rather than the disability first. We’ll review some examples and give practical advice on how you can actively start to use People First in your language.
