Defining Collaborative Work

There are many misconceptions related to what collaboration is and what it is not. To understand how collaborative work influences your role, your team, and your organization, you need to understand these differences. This course is part of the Collaborative Work Pocketbook series, a series that provides tips and techniques to make connections, combine talent and skills, and optimize outcomes during collaboration. In this course, you’ll learn about the three elements that make up colaborative work. You’ll also learn to distinguish between collaboration, cooperation, and coordination and identify three ways that do not define collaborative work. Finally, you’ll learn about the challenge of cognition problems. By the end of this course, you’ll be able to identify aspects of your own collaborative work.
