Interviewing is a process that takes place between two or more people. The interviewee, usually called the candidate and sometimes referred to as the applicant, will be interviewed by an interviewer who wants to know if they are suitable for employment in his/her organisation. An employer may have pre-set questions which need answering before she or he can make any offers of employment (known as screening interviews) or accept applications on behalf of their company (known as selection interviews). During both types of interviewers ask questions about a range of topics related to qualifications, skills and abilities etc., so it’s important that you prepare yourself beforehand.
