Conflict Defined

The different forms of conflict can be categorized into three broad groups. The types are: interpersonal, social, and political conflicts. Interpersonal conflicts typically involve two or more people; they may result in harm to one or both parties involved (physical abuse, mental abuse). Social conflicts occur between members of the same group who share a strong emotional bond with each other–they generally have an ideological component that is expressed strongly through speech and actions. Political conflicts arise from exclusive relationships among governments/governing bodies within countries on issues such as warring factions for power control over resources.
