Annual employee reviews are becoming an increasingly important part of a company’s culture. They can serve as your company’s compass, if you follow these tips to make sure they’re done correctly:
Ensure that the person doing the review has enough time before any distractions arise and is fully prepared for it.
Restate what was reviewed in previous annual performance evaluations so there isn’t confusion about how well or poorly employees performed their job duties this year compared to last (or on average).
Provide everyone involved with feedback after each discussion, then start again from step 1 when necessary.
