California Understanding Harassment: 04. Understanding Targets

While there is no justification for sexual harassment, the California Understanding Harassment: 04. Understanding Targets course aims to explain why individuals are targeted for harassment to help you protect yourself in the workplace. This course begins by dispelling common myths regarding sexual harassment in the workplace. From there, we will discuss steps employees can take to prevent becoming a target and why victims of sexual harassment often do not report it. We will also explore what organizations can do to prevent workplace sexual harassment and create a culture where employees feel comfortable reporting harassment if they experience it.
