Our California Understanding Harassment: 01. Introduction to Understanding Harassment course provides a general overview of workplace sexual harassment to dispel preconceived notions and elevate your understanding so you can recognize it if it occurs. To start, we will provide a general overview of the types of sexual harassment that occur in modern workplaces and present statistics to show how prevalent this behavior really is. From there, we will explain who offenders, targets and bystanders are and discuss why sexual harassment remains a problem even though there are laws against it. This course also covers the effects of sexual harassment and how to cultivate a culture of prevention in your workplace, so you can stop harassment before it starts.
