The California Anti-Harassment: 02. Anti-Harassment for Everyone course presents facts to help mitigate preconceived notions about sexual harassment in the workplace to create an equal and safe environment for all employees. Focusing on laws that apply to California, this course begins by explaining harassment and when it becomes illegal according to guidelines established by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). From there, we will discuss the laws that define illegal harassment in both the United States and California and review the various behaviors and situations that constitute sexual harassment in the workplace. We’ll also address the types of workplace harassment identified by the EEOC, provide examples of harassing behavior and offers tips on what to do to help you protect yourself and your coworkers from sexual harassment while on the job.
