California Anti-Harassment: 01. History of Sexual Harassment

Our California Anti-Harassment: 01. History of Sexual Harassment course focuses on the workplace sexual harassment and discrimination laws passed in the United States with a special focus on California. Did you know that California lead the charge around sexual harassment laws by passing the California Fair Employment and Housing Act of 1959? In this course, we’ll review this law and explain its importance. We’ll also discuss the other landmark cases that established our sexual harassment cases to explain the history of workplace sexual harassment laws in the United States. We’ll review the monetary damages organizations have paid out because of sexual harassment charges and discuss what you can do to ensure your workplace has anti-harassment policies in place.
