Business Fraud: Avoiding Deceptive Business Practices (Employee – Foundation)

Fraud is a widespread, yet often misunderstood topic that ensnares many businesses and business people, partly due to ignorance. Fraud involves intentional deception to deprive others of something valuable or to personally enrich another. Employees need an understanding of how to recognize and prevent fraud, whether it occurs within their organization or against it.

This course covers two types of business fraud – occupational fraud, or fraud against one’s employer, and general business fraud, or fraud conducted by or against a business in relation to a customer, supplier, or another outside party. This course introduces and summarizes the key elements for preventing, identifying, and responding to business fraud.
