Black History Month (Canada)

There are over a million and a half Canadians identifying as Black, representing hundreds of cultural identities. One specific time of the year to celebrate Black Canadians and their contributions to the country is during Black History Month, or Le Mois de l’histoire des Noirs. In this course, you’ll get an overview of the significance and history of Black History Month. You’ll also be introduced to some celebrated Afro-Canadians in the nation’s history. By the end of this course, you’ll be able to identify ways to participate in the observance.
