Avoiding Bias in Your Selection

There are many ways to eliminate bias in the selection process. The most common way is by using a diversity of methods such as gender, ethnicity and other cultural considerations. Other more specific approaches include assessing how candidates interact with each other during interviews or on their first day at work, and looking for any signs that they might be trying too hard to impress you.
Eliminating bias can also mean ensuring that all applications go through an equal vetting process - this includes checking CV’s against job requirements before shortlisting candidates from your wider pool of applicants.
