APA (6th Ed.) Research Paper Basics: Word 2013

This course outlines the how to apply style standards developed by the American Psychological Association (APA) for research paper submissions created in Word 2010. Based on the 6th Edition of the Publication Manual of the APA, the course describes aspects of a paper from title page and topic abstract, to the body of the paper. It explains how to include elements such as quotes and handle summaries, tables, footnotes and endnotes. You will learn the 5 heading levels and how they should be formatted. Finally, it covers the reference portion of the paper and how to attribute print and online sources, publications by multiple authors and how to reference print and broadcast media, websites, translations and database searches.

The course includes video and audio narration that guides you through steps in detail for an easy learning experience. It is divided into topic sections and features a menu for easy navigation.
