Bold text is often used in a proposal to emphasize key ideas or sentences that the writer wants readers to pay attention. Hyperlinks are also commonly included in proposals, both as links within an online document and for linking from one website page to another when referring someone else’s work.
Including graphics can help give your proposal a professional look and it may be necessary if you want people outside of academia who don’t have access to scholarly journals or databases with which you’re familiar in order show them what’s being discussed so they understand better why this is important for their company/institution/etc.
