A Personal Inventory

Leadership requires three qualities to succeed: knowledge, skill, and character. All leaders must know their business or trade well in order to be successful; they need the ability to impart what they know on others. They also require motivation skills – drive combined with determination- which will inspire followership if necessary by setting compelling goals that are not easily achieved but worth striving for nonetheless so long as the leader is credible enough for people’s trust. Finally, a leader needs strong personal character traits such as decisiveness and honesty because it takes courage of conviction when you have no one else providing support or second guessing your decisions.
