360 Degree Feedback

360 degree feedback provides an understanding of how one is viewed by their supervisor, subordinates and peers. It also reveals additional insights about the individual’s performance from managers or co-workers that may not be aware of what they do on a day to day basis. This gives employees the opportunity to identify areas where they need development without having it pointed out in front of them during an annual review with their boss when constructive criticism can go unheeded because the employee feels threatened and defensive if attacked by his/her superior rather than receiving valuable coaching opportunities for growth and improvement.
