Food Safety: Clothing

When preparing or handling food, appropriate clothing and footwear must be worn. This is to ensure that the body or clothing itself does not lead to contamination of the food. This Clothing course provides a simple guide for food handlers on what to wear and how to protect their clothing. Once the course is completed, you will have learnt about the examples of appropriate clothing, practices to ensure clothing does not become contaminated, how to maintain personal protective equipment and the risks associated with contaminated linen and laundry. This course is one part of a 19 part Food Safety Series aimed staff and management of anywhere food is manufactured, processed or served.
