WHS Induction: Emergency Evacuation

There are several compelling reasons why a workplace evacuation may need to occur. Regardless of the triggering factors, it remains paramount for all employees during an evacuation to not only prioritise their own safety, but ensure the wellbeing of others. As is the case with all matters relating to safety, it’s always more prudent to prevent emergencies rather than deal with them whilst they occur. This Emergency Evacuation course aims to equip your staff with the knowledge and skills required to respond proactively and effectively in emergency situations, ultimately ensuring the safety of everyone involved. Once the course is completed, you will have learnt the significance of site Emergency Evacuation Plans, what to do upon hearing an evacuation alarm and the importance of good housekeeping to ensure walkways, emergency equipment and exits are kept clear of obstructions. This course is one part of a 50 part WHS Induction series aimed at new inductees and existing workers.
