There can be a substantial amount of lifting, pushing and pulling required in the non-clinical areas of a hospital. However, with a little forethought, improved technique and some planning, the required manual handling can be relatively risk free. This Manual Handling Healthcare Non Clinical course looks at how manual handling affects the non-clinical area of the hospital, and provides a range of tips and procedures to eliminate exposure to these hazards. Once the course is completed, you will have learnt the responsibilities of both the employer and employee in regards to health and safety, and how to control the risks associated with carrying a load, using a trolley, different working positions, working at a computer and frequent muscle use.
