WHS Induction: Operating a Forklift

Forklifts are invaluable machines for handling various materials in the workplace, including lifting, loading, unloading, stacking, and transferring crates, drums, and pallets. However, their versatility comes with inherent risks, making them potentially hazardous. This Operating a Forklift induction module aims to enhance the awareness of workers, particularly forklift operators, regarding the numerous risks associated with forklift operation and how to mitigate them. Once the course is completed, you will have learnt the the importance of essential checks and maintenance on forklifts, safety rules when operating the forklift and what to do if somebody enters the forklift exclusion zone. This course is one part of a 50 part WHS Induction series aimed at new inductees and existing workers.
