Eye Safety

Our eyes can be damaged by flying objects, dust, chemicals, or working in or around sources of radiation. Protecting our eyes from these hazards is crucial. Lost time injuries can be devastating for the victim and costly for the workplace. This Eye Safety course will highlight the various hazards in the workplace that could put eyesight at risk and what to do in the event of an eye injury. Once the course is completed, you will have learnt rules for working with and around hazardous chemicals, the various types of eye protection that should be worn, and safety tips when operating screen based equipment. This course is one part of a 36 part Induction Series aimed at blue-collar workers.
