Hot Work

Hot work is a term used to describe tasks such as welding, thermal or oxygen cutting or heating, grinding, in fact any work that may create heat or a continuous stream of sparks. This Hot Work course highlights the predominant workplace hazards associated with hot work and how to control the risks. Once the course is completed, you will have learnt what information is required for a permit, what to consider when conducting a risk assessment and what precautions should be taken prior to hot work commencing. This course is one part of a 36 part Induction Series aimed at blue-collar workers.
