Mobile plant, such as forklifts, elevating work platforms, delivery vehicles, order pickers, earth moving equipment, prime movers and cranes, have the potential to seriously injure or kill people if they run into them. This Moving Vehicles induction module highlights the precautions that should be taken and the risk controls that should be implemented when setting up a worksite that will involve moving vehicles. Once the course is completed, you will have learnt the need to consult with all other workers and plant operators when mobile plant is operating, the importance of exclusion zones and the alternative when physical segregation of operating plant is not possible, and what must be documented and implemented when the work is on, or next to a road.
