Crisis Management Basics

Crisis management is the process of planning and organizing to mitigate or prevent a crisis. Crises can be natural disasters such as earthquakes, floods, tornadoes, hurricanes; technological failures like power grid malfunctions; disease outbreaks such as pandemics; accidents involving hazardous materials (such other chemicals); security issues including terrorism attacks or cyber crimes/cybersecurity incidents. In order to manage crisises effectively it is important for organizations not only plan in advance but also have clear communication channels that are open between themselves so they can work together efficiently when necessary.
