A Survival Guide for the New Supervisor

It’s not all about you. Your responsibility as a supervisor is to your employees, first and foremost. They are the ones who make sure that the business runs smoothly by doing their jobs well day after day—even when they don’t feel like it or can see any progress being made toward achieving goals. You must inspire them with hope for tomorrow, clear expectations of how things should be done today, motivation to take on new challenges in pursuit of company objectives this year-and training where necessary-to give them what they need so these tasks will come naturally over time.
