Role Playing

Role playing is a useful tool in social learning situations. It requires a minimum of two people, which makes it suitable for small groups. Role-play involves applying knowledge, skills, and abilities to a situational problem. The learner needs to be integrative in applying what they know, what they’ve experienced, and how they respond in real time. Role-playing decreases the gap between thinking and doing.
Role-playing is essential in the life of children because it helps to develop empathy. While engaging in role-playing activities, the children pretend to be someone else, and they learn to understand and identify emotional situations. They learn to overcome fear and recognize the safe environment.
