The Knowledge Management Life Cycle

Knowledge management (KM) is a cycle of identifying information that may or may not be useful knowledge, formatting it into usable knowledge, and integrating it into the organization.
Knowledge management cycle (KMC) is a process of transforming information into knowledge within an organization, which explains how knowledge is captured, processed, and distributed in an organization.
The purpose of the knowledge management process is to share perspectives, ideas, experience and information; to ensure that these are available in the right place at the right time to enable informed decisions; and to improve efficiency by reducing the need to rediscover knowledge.
