Becoming a Better Listener

There are a few different ways to be more attentive and show interest in what is being said. Some of these include making eye contact, maintaining physical closeness with the speaker, nodding your head or showing you have heard them by using gestures such as smiling or pointing fingers at yourself when they talk about themselves. Also remember that listening means really hearing everything that was said and asking questions if needed to learn more. Lastly, it’s important not just listen but also reflect on what has been spoken so we can gain understanding from conversation partners better than before.
