Key Concept of Project Management

Before we get started, let’s make sure we all understand just what we mean by a project and by project management. We’ll also look at what a project manager’s role is. Projects are different than processes or everyday operations, which are repetitive, permanent, or semi-permanent functional work taken on to produce products or services. Identify the different characteristics that all successful projects should share and follow. The five processes form the core structure of any project. Although they are illustrated here as a continuous process, they can overlap and interact via a project.
