Toolbox Talks: Hierarchy of Controls – Substitution

This course is an introduction to ‘Substitution’ in the hierarchy of controls. It uses examples to demonstrate how risks can be reduced in the workplace when hazardous objects or processes are replaced with safer options. It is part of a series that aims to raise awareness of some of the safety processes that exist in the workplace and clarify commonly used terms for the everyday worker.
