Choosing the Best Person for the Task

You are most likely aware of the need for managers to delegate authority to their employees. However, simply handing off tasks to other people is not enough.
Not all employees are created equal; you must be aware of the qualities that make an employee the right person to whom you should delegate. Once you have chosen the best person for a task, there is a right way and a wrong way to present their new responsibilities; done the wrong way, delegation can lead to disaster.
