It’s likely you’ll already be familiar with the phrase ‘duty of care’. You might have overheard colleagues use it, or perhaps you’ve heard it on the news. It’s a common phrase used in health and social care. But have you ever stopped to consider what it really means? Whatever your role in health and social care, you have a professional responsibility to protect the safety and wellbeing of the people for whom you provide care and support.
