Forensic Investigator, Part 01 of 10: Computer Forensic Basics

So you’d like to become a computer forensic investigator. Where do you start? Dive into computer forensic basics to establish a solid foundation, starting with answers to the questions of what is computer forensics, why do we need it, and when should we use it? Explore the various categories of cybercrimes and the laws that pertain to them, learn how to begin the investigation process, and get a quick look at forensic readiness and some resources that are available to forensic investigators. This course is part of a series covering the EC Council Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator‚Ñ¢ (CHFI‚Ñ¢).

Each LearnNowOnline training course is made up of Modules (typically an hour in length). Within each module there are Topics (typically 15-30 minutes each) and Subtopics (typically 2-5 minutes each). There is a Post Exam for each Module that must be passed with a score of 70% or higher to successfully and fully complete the course.
