Family and Medical Leave Act

Learn about the policies and procedures within the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), both the original act enacted in 1993 and its more recent amendments. In the first half of the course, you will learn about the 2009 addition of Military Family Entitlements, as well as the 2013 amendment relating to airline flight crew employees. The final section discusses the original Act, which sets out the rules for unpaid job protected leave. you’ll review the eligibility requirements, and learn about the rights and responsibilities of both the employer and employee, as well as the specific procedures and documentation required.
This course includes links to additional resources, learning activities and quizzes to ensure your comprehension of the FMLA. To receive a certificate of completion, you must pass a final test available at the end of the course.
