In Checks 101, we’ll discuss the key components of a check, including the elements that are required to make a check legal. We will also outline appropriate procedures for cashing and depositing a check and explore the different types of checks a teller is likely to encounter, such as traveller’s checks and money orders.

The introductory-level course features a user-friendly modular format for self-paced instruction. Interactive activities, in-line quizzes, and links to supporting content help participants to engage with the material. A final online test of checking concepts comes included with a certificate of completion for a grade of 80 percent or higher.
