Introduction to Java Training

Designed for students new to programming and Java in particular, this course will help you get started in writing a Java program. To begin, we’ll provide an overview of Java syntax, as well as common and more advanced elements. You will learn to write useful Java classes, apply Object-Oriented concepts such as inheritance, and create Java programs that work with these classes. Early in the class the concept of objects is introduced so that later concepts can be discussed from the perspective of object orientation.
This course is based on Java 1.5 and 1.6, but most concepts apply in 1.4 as well. Students with object-oriented programming experience in a language such as C# or C++ may want to consider our Java Programming for Experienced Programmers class instead.
