Respiratory Hygiene and Cough Etiquette

Respiratory hygiene and cough etiquette are always important to prevent the spread of respiratory infections. However, they become increasingly important during seasons when viral respiratory tract infections easily spread. Infections, including influenza, RSV, adenovirus, and parainfluenza virus, spread easily through coughs and droplets. For this reason, health care professionals should be educated to help contain respiratory secretions.

This course is designed for anyone who works in a health care setting and who works directly with patients in any setting.
