In “Voice and presence,” you’ll learn how to elevate your presentations from information to inspiration. Part of the TED Public Speaking Tools series, this video lesson asks you to consider the advantages a talk has over written communication. It calls out six tools you can use to boost your presentation skills, and provides steps you can take to employ them in your next talk. To help illustrate how the techniques can be used, the lesson features a number of examples from past TED Talks showing how different speakers have managed to capture and maintain their audience’s attention. The lesson also has downloadable exercise sheets you can use to reflect on what you’ve learned and start putting it into practice.
