New Hire Orientation – General Industry: Walking and Working Surfaces

This course focuses on cultivating an awareness of workplace hazards associated with movement and spatial considerations. Participants will explore the expansive nature of their workstations, recognizing potential slipping, tripping, and falling hazards that extend beyond traditional boundaries. The course underscores the importance of identifying environmental factors, poorly lit areas, heights, and traffic zones, and emphasizes the need for immediate action in addressing disorganization and untidiness in the workplace. Through discussions, walk-throughs, and action plans, participants will develop skills to proactively identify, flag, and mitigate workplace hazards.
