Silica Awareness: Silica Exposure

This course addresses the dangers of crystalline silica exposure in construction and manufacturing. Covering common tasks, the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) recognition, and preventive measures, participants will gain insights into engineering controls, administrative strategies, and the role of personal protective equipment (PPE). The significance of exposure duration, ventilation, and understanding permissible exposure limits (PEL) is emphasized to ensure a safe workplace.
