LGBT History Month (U.S.)

LGBT History Month is a time to provide education into the history of the gay and transgender rights struggle and to share insight into issues facing the LGBTQ+ community. Learning about and celebrating different communities is a way to foster inclusion, empathy, and allyship in both your work environment and community. In this course, you’ll be provided with an overview of the significance and origins of LGBT History Month. You’ll also be introduced to influential LGBT pioneers and activists. By the end of this course, you’ll be able to identify ways to participate in the month-long observation.
