Thanksgiving (U.S.)

American Thanksgiving is full of feasting with friends and family and expressing gratitude. But did you know that not everyone in the United States shares the same perspective on Thanksgiving? This day is also a National Day of Mourning for many Native American communities. In this course, you’ll learn about the significance and origins of Thanksgiving and how National Day of Mourning came from the holiday. You’ll also identify common Thanksgiving traditions and the activities Native communities take part in on this day. By the end of this course, you’ll be able to identify different ways to participate in this holiday.
