National Native American Heritage Month (U.S.)

In the United States, there are over 500 federally recognized Native American tribes, each with their own diversity of cultures and traditions. Learning about and celebrating cultures different from your own is a way to foster inclusion, empathy, and allyship in both your work environment and community. In this course, you’ll receive an overview of the significance and origins of National Native American Heritage Month and be introduced to Native American pioneers in U.S. history. By the end of this course, you’ll be able to identify ways to participate in the observation.
