Hazardous Energy Control

Machines and equipment are potentially hazardous when connected to an energy source or when they contain residual or stored energy. Energy becomes hazardous when it builds to a dangerous level or is released at a magnitude that could cause harm. This course explores types of hazardous energy and how best to handle it on the job, both to comply with OSHA regulations and to promote safety.
