People-Focused Leadership: Be Courageous

Courage is the ability to do something that requires taking a risk - because it’s a risk worth taking. In one dramatic example, courage could look like running into a burning building to save a child. In a quieter scenario, courage might mean speaking up on behalf of someone with less power than you.

To be a courageous leader means that you have the inner fortitude - call it guts or grit - to do the right thing even if it feels hard or scary.
