Covid-19 Management: Staff Planning

This course helps managers navigate the challenges of staffing during the Covid-19 pandemic.
In this course, we’re looking at staff planning.
There are lots of ways Covid-19 might disrupt your staffing arrangements.
Some are obvious: for example, several of your staff might be taken ill at the same time. Others are less obvious, so in this course we’ll look at the risks from several different angles.
Once we’ve examined the risks, we’ll look at the steps you can take to manage them, first in the short-term, and then in the long-term.
The most obvious risk is the virus itself. If members of your team are exposed to Covid-19, they may be absent from work for some time.
While those who can work remotely and have mild symptoms may not be absent for long, team-members who can’t work from isolation, as well as those who experience serious symptoms or post-viral fatigue, might be absent from work for weeks or even months.
We will cover strategies to reduce infection risk, make effective handover preparations, find new capacity in your existing team, collaborate with other managers, and create a pool of reserve talent.
By the end of this course, you will be equipped to support your team’s wellbeing, create a robust communication plan, and align your staff planning with your organization’s long-term goals.
