Cal/OSHA Heat Illness Prevention

This course includes coverage of the July 2024 Cal/OSHA updated standard for heat illness prevention in outdoor and indoor workplaces. Preventing heat illnesses is a large concern for all workers across California, especially during the hotter months when temperatures can soar to dangerous levels. The risks associated with working in hot environments should not be overlooked, as they directly impact the health, safety, and well-being of employees. Whether you’re working outdoors under the scorching sun or indoors in areas lacking adequate ventilation, understanding how to protect yourself from heat-related illnesses is essential. In this course we’ll explain heat related illnesses, including symptoms, treatments and prevention. We’ll also look at Cal/OSHA regulations for heat illness prevention for indoor and outdoor workplaces. The course will take around 25 minutes to complete and is designed for use on desktop, laptop, mobile and tablet.
