Curiosity and Disagreement in Collaborative Work

Conflict is an inevitable part of collaboration when generating new ideas. To be effective in your collaborative group, you need to use the following two collaborative habits: curiosity and disagreement. This course is part of the Collaborative Work Pocketbook series, a series that provides tips and techniques to make connections, combine talent and skills, and optimize outcomes during collaboration. In this course, you’ll learn how to use these two collaborative habits by first learning how to create an ideal environment for idea generation. You’ll also learn about the three types of ideas and how they’re used. Finally, you’ll learn about the importance of disagreement by knowing how to challenge the ideas of others and how to accept the challenges to your own ideas. By the end of this course, you’ll understand the role curiosity and disagreement play in helping you improve your team’s idea generation process.
