Becoming an Ally in the Workplace

Matters of diversity, equity, and inclusion have become increasingly prevalent in the world of work. Although these issues have always been important, many working professionals have recognized the power they hold in advancing these initiatives in recent years, especially at their company. In order to achieve this goal, they’ve since begun stepping into roles as allies at work. In this course, global diversity expert Netta Jenkins shares her strategies for serving as an ally to others. Netta first reviews the importance of having allies at work, as well as its relevance to you as an individual. She provides ways in which you can support others at work, as well as how you can take steps to embody true allyship for those around you. Finally, she discusses allyship at the organizational level, and connects this back to things you can do to create an organization that advances these efforts. You’ll complete this course with an arsenal of tools to help you serve as an ally to others.
