Understanding Industrial Hygiene

Our Understanding Industrial Hygiene course provides an overview on what is required in the Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) role to boost your knowledge. Industrial hygiene is the anticipation, recognition, evaluation and control of hazards at work that may result in injury, illness or that may affect the wellbeing of workers. In this course, we’ll start by explaining the role of an industrial hygienist and the certifications required. From there, we will review the hazards faced by a CIH and go over the different people they work with to make their determinations. This course also reviews the process for handling hazards. Included in this course is a video presentation, downloadable student material that reviews key points, and a short quiz to assess what you’ve learned.
